Jill Biby Buys
Jill Biby Buys passed quietly with her youngest daughter, Janet, by her side on March 26, 2021. She was predeceased by her parents, John and Tina Biby and her ex-husband Henry Buys, Jr. She is survived by elder daughter Jeni, grandson Ryker, her sister Jody Biby Ramsey, and nephews Jeff and Scott Ramsey.
Born in Long Beach, Jill spent her childhood sailing her Sabot 230 "Duckie" at the Leeway Sailing Center and Alamitos Bay Yacht Club. She attended Naples Elementary School, Roger's Junior High, Long Beach Wilson High Schools. During her time at Wilson High School she served as a member of Lamba Phi and was a debutante with the Junior League of Long Beach. Jill finished her education studying at the University of Arizona in Tucson.
In addition to being loving full time mother, she managed several commercial properties. Her own commercial property was in San Diego. She lived in beautiful oceanside communities including Long Beach, Seal Beach, and Newport Beach.
In addition to being a sailing enthusiast, her other favorite activities included skiing, scuba diving, cycling, and hiking. She enjoyed traveling with her family to wonderful places including Europe, Hawaii, Mexico, Canada, and Alaska. Favorite destinations included Mammoth Mountain, Jackson Hole, Wyoming, and the local mountains of southern California.
In her final days, Jill was wonderfully cared for by the staff at Silverado in San Juan Capistrano. Her ashes will be spread at sea in a private ceremony. May her heart and her soul always be with the peace of the sea.

Thank for that wonderful obituary. I personally didn’t know your mom but my dad may.
