Jill Salter Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Jul. 16, 2025.
Jill Sealy Salter, a devoted wife, loving mother, dedicated attorney, and beloved member of the Rome, Georgia community, passed away peacefully on July 13, 2025, at the age of 44.

Born and raised in Florence, Alabama, Jill was a proud graduate of Bradshaw High School, Class of 1999. She went on to earn a degree in Public Relations from The University of Alabama in 2004, and later received her Juris Doctor from Florida Coastal School of Law in 2007. With sharp intellect, unwavering compassion, and fierce dedication to justice, Jill co-founded Salter Law Group with her husband, Jeremy Salter, where the couple served their clients with integrity, empathy, and legal excellence.

Jill's greatest joy was her family. She is survived by her husband and best friend, Jeremy Salter, and their two cherished children, William Sealy Salter and Marlo Elizabeth Salter. She is also survived by her loving parents, Jerry and Pat Sealy, of Florence, Alabama and her beloved grandmother, Betty Moore, of Selmer, Tennessee. Jill shared a deep bond with her brothers, Todd Sealy (wife Flavia) of Windsor, Connecticut, and Michael Sealy (wife Ashley) of West Lafayette, Indiana. She adored her nieces and nephews: Juliana and Lucas Sealy of Windsor, and Jane and Rado Sealy of West Lafayette. Jill was treasured by her large extended family and deeply loved by her aunts, uncles, cousins, and lifelong friends.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents P.E. and Jewel Sealy of Florence, Alabama, and Ward Moore of Selmer, Tennessee.

Beyond her professional and family life, Jill had a generous heart and an enduring commitment to service. She was especially passionate about supporting local charitable foundations, including her devoted work with The Davies Shelters, where she touched many lives through her volunteerism and advocacy, as well as the Junior Service League of Rome, where she formed lasting friendships and worked tirelessly to serve the needs of others. She was also an active and devoted member of the First Baptist Church of Rome, where she found spiritual fulfillment and community. Jill was known for her radiant smile, warm spirit, and ability to make everyone feel welcomed and valued.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, July 20, 2025, at 2:00 PM at First Baptist Church of Rome (100 E 4th Ave, Rome, GA 30161), presided over by Pastor David Brooks. A visitation will follow the service, where family and friends are invited to share memories and honor her extraordinary life.

Jill's legacy is one of love, courage, generosity, and faith. Though her time with us was far too short, her impact endures in the lives she touched, the family she cherished, and the community she so graciously served.

For those who wish to honor Jill's memory, donations to the Davies Shelters, the Junior Service League of Rome, and First Baptist Church of Rome are welcomed - continuing her mission of compassion and care for others.

Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, Oaknoll Chapel, is honored to serve the family of Mrs. Jill Sealy Salter.
