On behalf of my father, Ed Stanford, Sr., his wife Cookie and myself, I would like to offer our heartfelt condolences on your loss. Dad served for 12 years with Mr. Bailey on the school board and they had a friendship based on mutual respect and a commitment to do what is right for the children of Escambia County. We will certainly miss him.

Jamie and Jena,
My first memory of your dad was as a supportive parent at Warrington Middle School when you girls went there. It was so wonderful to have parents who cared, and both of your parents were involved with the school and the teachers. You are all in my prayers. He was a fine man. Patty Casey Northup

Pat, Jaimie and Jena,
Escambia County has truly lost a great man and a great leader Tuesday. Jim's accomplishments during his years on the School Board are too many to list, but we know the students of Escambia County are better off thanks to his contributions and efforts. Jim was a true and loyal friend who was always there when you needed him, no matter what. He has been an important part of our our lives and Alex and Tori's. We will miss him calling the house - asking "is the Big Guy there?". We'll miss him every day.

Pat and girls, please know that this was one loved man. I have known Jimmy since first grade, when I got on his Aunt Ruby's school bus on the way to Brentwood Elementary. He was loved back then also. Jimmy achieved what most dreamed. RIP Dear Friend. God Bless.

Dear Pat, Jamie and Jena,
Jim was a great man who is sorely missed. He willingly sought to help our community and was successful in doing so. Carissa fondly remembers being a student teacher for Jena at Bellview Elementary School. Jim was great mentor for Gary and Carissa on School Board issues. Our prayers are with you all in your time of sorrow, but take comfort knowing Jim lived a full, good and honorable life. May God Bless and keep you.

What a special man! I remember him walking Joshua into class each morning and then waving goodbye and saying " have a blessed day". His smile was such a comfort and although I did not know him well, I could feel God's love through him. That memory is a gift that I treasure. God be with your family. With Love, Angie and Family
