Jim MAZEROLLE Obituary

Published by Calgary Herald from Sep. 14 to Sep. 15, 2012.
MAZEROLLE, Jim
December 15, 1959 - August 2, 2012
While doing what he loved, Jim suddenly passed away while on a fly fishing trip in British Columbia. Jim will be sadly missed by his mother Maria Mazerolle of Red Deer, brothers: Paul (Linda Saunders) of Kitscoty, Ed of Red Deer and Ron (Lori) of Lloydminster. Jim will be remembered by nieces and nephews: Christopher, Rebecca, Cody and Taysha and numerous friends. Jim was born in Germany to Ed and Maria Mazerolle. Maria was a war bride and the family returned to Canada where Jim was raised. Most of Jim's younger years were spent in Annapolis Valley, Nova Scotia where he enjoyed trapping, hunting and fishing. This passion for hunting and fishing never left him as he went on to do so all over North America and Mexico. Jim moved from Nova Scotia in the 1980's to settle in Alberta. He was a hard working equipment operator for major companies across Alberta. Jim always had a great sense of humour and loved to go to CFL and NHL games. "Dear Jim, Dad is there with you ~ take care of each other." Thank you to the Search and Rescue Squad from BC as well as the Fernie RCMP and many others that helped us through this difficult time. Tributes, in Jim's name, may be made directly to the Alberta Heart and Stroke Foundation (100, 119 - 14 Street N.W., Calgary, AB T2N 1Z6). A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, September 22, 2012 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Mountain View Funeral Home. To email expressions of sympathy: [email protected] subject heading: Jim Mazerolle. Arrangements entrusted to MOUNTAIN VIEW MEMORIAL GARDENS, FUNERAL HOME and CREMATORIUM, 1605 - 100 Street S.E.
