Dear Liz and Family,
We feel very fortunate to have known Jim. No matter how he felt, if you asked him, how he was, his answer would always be, I could not be better. He had a wonderful sense of humor and enjoyed life.
We hold very good memories of the time we spent together. We will miss you Jim!
Our deepest sympathy to All of You!

It seems like yesterday, but it was many many years ago that my family and I spent time with "cousin" Jim and his family. I have many wonderful childhood memories of our visits with Jim, my mom Claire's first-cousin. We were very lucky to have shared memories with Jim and his family even though we were thousands of miles away. I also remember the Pereira's visits to California. My grandfather, Quirino Pereira, was proud of his nephew Jim, and spoke very highly of him and his family. I only wish there were many more recent memories.
There is obviously no good time or way for someone whom you care about to pass, and I am sorry to hear about your father and husband. You are all in my thoughts and prayers.

Dear Elizabeth and your family,
Our longest and fondest memories of Ocean Village are the times we spent with you and Jimmy. He had such an easy way about him. He always looked at things from the bright side. He made us laugh with his jokes, for we never suspected such humor from him. So when we think of him, we will again smile remembering our dear friend. Your family has much to remember him by and may all those glad times remain in your thoughts. Our thoughts and prayers go out to you . We will miss him for he was a jewel.

I am so sorry to hear about your Dad. Losing a parent, while inevitable, is so very very tough. Know that he is in a better place without all the pain.

Hi, I'm Jessica, one of the granddaughters of papa. He was the greatest grandpa I could ever have, and he was really funny, because he would always try to steal my treats. He loved watching me skate and watching baseball, he would cheer for the blue jays plus he loved golf. I loved him but now he's gone so all I want to say is I'll miss you and goodbye papa. I love you papa, love Jessica

Grandpa was always nice and funny. I remember one night he was teaching me how to use a magnifying glass and I was looking at the center of the table with it and he stole my cookie and then I looked back and my cookie was gone then we laughed. Me and him always liked watching the blue jays games together with some cookies. I'll miss you papa love David xoxo

Grandpa lived a long and, as far as I know, happy life, and I don't think there is much to regret in that. Of course, however, there is sadness and you (like me) will miss him a lot. I'll never forget the fishing (in Florida and Ontario), and the trip to the space centre Jeff and I went on with him, the fish fries and the cob salads, the evening card games, and the puzzles he always had spread out on the balcony table. Going even further back to my first memories, Nana and Grandpa's big country house has left a big impression on me as well. I've been thinking about that house and some memories from back then that I have. I remember buying wool slippers, and the electric fence Grandpa always had around his garden, and the big lawn mower, and Grandpa's constant questions about whether or not I had a girlfriend and how many I was keeping on the side. I think my face went red more times around him from those questions than around anyone else at Christmas time! His "howdy"'s and his habit of saying "potat" instead of potato are also things I'm never going to forget. Small things, but they mean a lot to me. I also remember as my first memory of Nana and Grandpa's home that they introduced me to America's Funniest Home Videos, you were all watching it one evening as I came up from the basement where we had been playing, and Nana asked if I wanted to watch with the grown-ups.
Just some thoughts.

I remember Jim as such a jolly fellow every time he came in to the bank where Sue and I worked. It was clear he was very well liked and respected. May your memories ease your suffering at this sad time. Please know you are in our thoughts and prayers. Love to you all.
