I was on the Board of Directors of the Austin Symphony Orchestra with Jim and enjoyed working with him. He was gracious, knowledgeable and seemed to be everywhere at once. We were fortunate to have had him during the building of the Long Center and our 'big move'. He was always involved, available and helpful. Regardless where he lived he made himself invaluable to the community.

Phyllis, Jim was a wonderful mentor to me as I became involved with the Austin Symphony. I have so often used the things he taught me and will continue to do so. His wisdom will live on and be passed on to others.

Remembering Jim from years ago living across the street from Glenn and Faye Baskett. Loved your family so much. A wonderful man. God give your family strength and peace on this difficult journey. Much love
