BRISTOL, Tenn.— Jimmie London McGraw, age 70, of Hurley, Va., passed away Thursday, August 14, 2008 at Bristol Hospice House, Bristol, Tenn.Born December 2, 1937 in Buchanan County, he was the son of the late Jeff and Alice Blankenship McGraw. He was a retired coal miner and was a member of the Knox Creek Church of God.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by five sisters, Wanda Irene “Tincy” McGraw, Mary Magdalene Proffitt, Della Fernandez, Spicy Cline, and Mildred Cline. Survivors: Wife, Georgia Gibson McGraw of Hurley, Va.; three daughters, Shelia McGraw Deel of Lexington, N.C., Sherry McGraw Hensley and husband Benny of Hurley, Stephanie McGraw of Hurley, Va.; one son, Jimmy McGraw of Hurley, Va.; grandchildren, LeAnne McGraw of Wise, Va., Bridgett McGraw of Bristol, Va., William McGraw of Hurley, Va., and Zachary Deel of Lexington, N.C.; special grandchildren, Sydney and Kaitlin Charles of Hurley, Va.; four brothers, William Eli McGraw and wife Ginny of Greeneville, Tenn., James Aulda McGraw of New Jersey, Mack “Junior” McGraw and wife Mary Ann of Cucumber, W.Va., Ray McGraw of Norfolk, Va.Funeral services for Jimmie London McGraw will be held Sunday, August 17, 2008 at 2 p.m. at the Knox Creek Church of God with the Rev. Henry Rowe, the Rev. Roger “Pete” Woods, the Rev. Darrell Davis and Evangelist Bill Neeley officiating with burial to follow at the Mountain Valley Memorial Park at Big Rock, Va. Friends may call after 6 p.m. Saturday evening at the Virginia Funeral Home Chapel where a service will be held at 7 p.m. The body will be moved Sunday to the Knox Creek Church of God were friends may call until the funeral hour of 2 p.m. Pallbearers will be William McGraw, Dewayne Endicott, Otis Endicott, Michael Endicott, Terry Charles, Thurman Gibson, Gary Charles, Leonard “Corkey” Bailey, Desteny Gibson, Benny Hensley, Lawrence Gibson and Curtis Gibson. Honorary pallbearers will be the Rev. Henry Rowe, the Rev. Pete Woods, Dr. J. G. Patel, R D Rife, the Rev. Charley Kennedy, Lincous Endicott, Wade Mullins, Ed Gibson, James Gibson, Bobby Blankenship, Evangelist Bill Neeley, Lloyd Charles, and the Rev. Darrell Davis.
