Columbus, GA- Jimmy Allen Bailey 46, of Columbus, Georgia passed away on Tuesday, January 24, 2017 at Midtown Medical Center.
Allen was born September 24, 1970 in Orlando, Florida to Jimmy and Esther Bailey. He was a 1988 graduate of Shaw High School; he grew up playing youth sports in Columbus, and was an avid Duke Basketball fan and loved Auburn Football. He was employed with Communicorp for 18 years, and worked for Affordable Moving Company.
Survivors include his mother, Esther Bailey, son, Jimmy Bryce Bailey, and a daughter, Madison Brooke Bailey, one sister, Sheree Bailey, former wife, Brooke Fields Bailey, a special friend, Chad Pepper, and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Allen was preceded in death by his father Jimmy D. Bailey, an aunt, Kay Black, uncles, Roger Harris, Delmas Bailey, and Adolph Black, and a cousin, Terry Harris.
The family will receive friends from 12:00pm-1:30pm, on Friday, January 27, 2017 in the St. Elmo Room of Striffler-Hamby 4071 Macon Road Columbus, GA. Followed by a graveside service at 2:00 pm, in Parkhill Cemetery, with Pastor Derrick Shields officiating.
Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to a charity of your choice.

Esther: I was sadden to learn of Allen's death and too late to attend the services. I know that God can give you strength and courage to face life without him. He was so young, but so was Jimmy.
Billy and I have such fond memories of the time we spent with you and Jimmy many years ago.

Esther, Sheree, and family,
I was so saddened to learn of Allen's passing Tuesday. Allen and I had been communicating again recently after a long absence. I am praying for comfort and peace in knowing that Allen is no longer suffering and is hanging out with Dad, his buddy and best friend, in Heaven.
