Jimmy Clackum Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Jul. 11, 2025.
Jimmy Howard Clackum, aged 79, passed away on June 27, 2025, in Cherokee County, Georgia. Born on November 4, 1945, Jimmy was a cherished figure in his community, known for his hard work, loyalty, and caring nature.

Jimmy graduated from Osborne High School in 1963 and went on to establish a successful career, working as a purchasing agent and machinist before owning and operating Little River Machine Shop. His professional journey was marked by dedication, hard work and a commitment to quality.

A lifelong member of Kennesaw First Baptist Church, Jimmy was deeply involved in church activities and enjoyed participating in social events with his Sunday School class. His faith played a significant role in his life from his childhood days at Olive Springs Baptist Church to his many years at Kennesaw First Baptist Church.

Jimmy's hobbies included fishing, deer hunting, and attending social gatherings with his Osborne High School friends. He took particular joy in cutting grass with his tractor and was always ready to lend a helping hand to his family, friends, and neighbors.

Jimmy is survived by his daughter, Tina Hill (Michael), and grandchildren Zach Cargle (Ashley), Zoe Hill, and Gavin Hill; his son, Lee Clackum (Rachel), and grandchildren Kylah, Dion, Hunter, and Madison. He was preceded in death by his beloved spouse, Ann Lynn Clackum; his parents, James and Louise Clackum; and his sister, Nancy Bankston.

A celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, July 26, 2025, at 11 AM at Kennesaw First Baptist Church, where friends and family will gather to honor Jimmy's legacy and share memories of a life well-lived.
