Jimmy W. Gordon
LITTLE RIVER, SC-- Jimmy W. Gordon, 57, of 4633 Light Keepers Way, Unit 5B, formerly of Marion and Gaffney, passed away Wednesday, October 22, 2008 at McLeod Regional Medical Center in Florence.
Born in Gaffney, Mr. Gordon was the son of the late Floyd Gordon Sr. and Lillian Queen Gordon of Gaffney. He worked as a carpenter and was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church.
In addition to his mother, Mr. Gordon is survived by a daughter, Shawn Gordon Holmes of Gaffney; three sons, Dylan Gordon of Holden Beach, NC, Dustin Gordon of the home, and Zachary Gordon of Auxvasse, MO; two brothers, Scott Gordon of Blacksburg and Mike Gordon of Marion, SC; a sister, Cathy Franklin of Gaffney; and three grandchildren.
The family will host a receiving of friends from 6 until 8 Saturday evening at Gordon Mortuary. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, October 26, 2008 at Macedonia Baptist Church with Rev. Terry Duvall officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
Dylan Gordon, Dustin Gordon, Bo Guy, Zachary Gordon, Jeff Holmes, and Lee Gordon will serve as pallbearers.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the McLeod Health Foundation, Attn: Jill Bramlett, PO Box 100551, Florence, SC 29501.
The family will be at Lillian Gordon's residence, 324 Macedonia Road, Gaffney, SC.

Even though I haven't seen Jimmy since high school, I have great memories or our attending church, grammar, middle, and high school together. He was a great guy and will be missed. Sorry for your loss.
