Jimmy Ray "Jim" Mauldin of Pauls Valley was born on June 16, 1937, in Paoli, Oklahoma to Sanford (S.E.) and Ola Mae Mauldin and passed from this life on January 20, 2022, in Oklahoma City, OK at the age of 84 years. He was the 12th child of 12 children. Jim grew up in Paoli, Oklahoma and graduated from Paoli High School. He also attended Conner College where he studied religion. He was very compassionate, loved to take care of his children and grandchildren. Jim was the rock of the family and when it came to anyone needing anything you could always count on him to be there.
In 1955, Jim proudly joined the United States Navy and was stationed on the USS Forrestal. Then, in 1975, he joined the United States National Guard. In 1984 Jim started P&M Construction, which later became known as Mauldin & Son Construction. Jim was a “man’s man” and didn’t believe in retirement, so when he closed the construction company, he started Roadrunner Hotshotting Company and did that for several years before finally settling on running Mauldin Cattle Company, which he was still doing when he passed away. The only thing Jim loved more than serving his country was his family. He loved his family and his friends, and they shared a lot of good times on his “Redneck Patio”, playing dominoes and making memories. He was a member of the Calvin Masonic Lodge #221 in Calvin, OK.
Jim is preceded in death by his parents and all his siblings, one son, Gary Mauldin and two daughters, Marla Mauldin, and Michelle Ruth English.
Jim is survived by his wife of 17 years, Ginger Burnside, of the home. Three sons, Steven Mauldin of Crowell, TX, Michael English (Pamela) of Stratford, OK, Dustin Coder of Lawton, OK, two daughters, Denee Mauldin (Scott Barker) of Paoli, OK and Errin Coder of Pauls Valley, OK. Grandchildren, Corey Simmons (Courtney) of OKC, OK, Natoshia Martin (Adam) of Mooresville, NC, Blake English of Stratford, OK, Lacy Tamplen (Matt) of Crowell, TX, Lindy Francis (Scott) of Newport, MI, Emmalyn (Cupcake) Mauldin of Crowell, TX, Ashley Worley of Madill, OK, Jimmy Ray Mauldin of Paoli, OK, Kaylee, Samantha, and Landen Coder of Pauls Valley, OK, Cierra, Breanna, and Eli Coder of Lawton, OK. Plus 14 great grandchildren and one on the way, as well as several nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.

Jim was a good friend to both my Dad & my brother. They thought a lot of him. He came to visit my brother in November as soon as he heard he was sick. I know he will be greatly missed by many. Rip Jim
