To the McKiernan family:
I was so shocked by the passing of John. I am so happy that I was able to see him a couple of years ago when he came here to visit in Rhode Island. He was quite a guy!
My deepest sympathy goes out to the family. Thoughts and prayers are with you all.

John--- I remember with fondness the days I could turn a corner and find you doing a yard anywhere in Duarte -- you would always have a few minutes to chat and catch up...there are too many memories to note them all but you will always be the "oldest teenager" to all of us. My condolences to your family, you are a great man and will be missed

John,
You always inspired me to want to do more for our children at Beardslee School. I will miss your kindness and encouragement. Rest in angel's arms and be comforted by our Lord's grace.
