Published by Legacy Remembers from Apr. 18 to Apr. 25, 2009.
IVERSEN, Jo-Anne Annette Of Burlington, Ontario passed away unexpectedly on March 29, 2009. Jo-Anne was born November 19, 1955 in Windsor, Ontario and was the loving daughter of the late Asta Iversen [2000] and Ulrich Iversen [2005]. Jo-Anne lost the love of her life, Ken Gelinas, in a fatal car crash on July 14, 1983 and continued to suffer physically and emotionally until the day of her death. Throughout her adult life, Jo-Anne depended on the support of her mother and father while they were alive, her siblings and their wives and her lifelong friend Diane Ramautarsingh. Jo-Anne delighted in the accomplishments of her nieces and nephews and never hesitated to tell others. She had a great fondness for animals and throughout her life had many. She is survived and will be missed by her brothers Jorn and his wife Pamela of Tecumseh, Ontario and their daughters Danielle and Kirsten both of Toronto, Ontario; Lars and his wife Mary of Tecumseh, Ontario and their children Heather, Megan, Kristian and Jordan and Bent and his wife Linda of Meaford, Ontario and many Danish relatives both here and in Denmark. Jo-Anne was cremated on April 2, 2009 and will be interred late spring at Sunset Mindepark in Puslinch, Ontario. Remembrances may be made to Sunset Mindepark, R.R. #2, Puslinch, Ontario. The date of internment has yet to be determined. Friends are invited to attend and are encouraged to contact any family member for details.

To Jo-Anne's brothers and their families, my sincerest condolences. I have very fond memories of Jo-Anne as we were growing up and were often together during the 'Danish' gatherings in Windsor. I remember her as a warm, caring and lovely person. May she live on in your hearts.
