My deepest sympathy to Joan's family at this difficult time. She had delivered my first child 37 years ago, and to this day I never forgot the compassion she showed me. She sat at my bedside comforting me during my labor. I don't know of many doctors today who would do the same.

Dear Michael and Susan,

Please accept our condolences for the loss of your mother, Joan. She was a beautiful and talented lady and the pride of our Class of 1949 at Roger Ludlowe High School. I regret we did not maintain contact after graduation. She brought great credit to her Hungarian heritage.

Sincerely,

Richard S. Nemeth and Family

My deepest condolences to Michael and his family and Susan and daughter. Your mother and I go back many years to our UB days - there were five of us that have remained friends all these years. Your mother was the maid of honor at my wedding in 1953. This is a difficult time for all of you - but, your mother is at peace with your father. May the good Lord help you in the healing process and comfort you in the weeks and months ahead.

Joan's UB friend,

Dear Family of Dr. Joan Foytho Bousa,

I was very saddened to read of Joan's passing. She and her late husband, Walt, delivered my two children. For my second child, she even made a housecall when I was having a difficult labor.

Joan was a wonderful person with a strong sense of humor and grace under pressure. My husband and I will never forget her.

Our condolences,

Ed and Dianne Severance

My deepest sympathy to Susan and Michael and family. Your mother was a long time friend of mine going back to the University of Bridgeport. There were five of us that kept in touch in all these years - she was maid of honor at my wedding, so I am deeply saddend, but she finally is at peace. May God grant all of you healing and strength in the weeks and months ahead.
