Joan F. (Culp) Crawford passed unexpectedly on Thursday, December 13, 2018 at 95-young years of age. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, William "Bill" D. Crawford of 47 years. Joan, the daughter of Emerson and Caroline Culp, was the last surviving member of the Culp family, preceded in death by her parents and sisters Dorothy Silk, Loretta Meyers, brothers Howard and Walter Culp as well as her daughter Victoria and son-in-laws Terry Green and George Pappas. A graduate of Holy Rosary school and high school, she also attended Capital University School of Music, intending to become an opera singer. Instead she became the proud mother of seven, keeping a meticulous home, lovely gardens (hybrid tea roses her specialty), continuing her love of operatic and classical music, and especially Josh Grobin. She has left behind to feel her loss, Suzanne (C. Michael) Kull, Holly Pappas, Timothy, Todd (Susan), Tammy Green, Bill Jr. and her youngest daughter Caroline, who lovingly cared for her these past several years, and numerous nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind, her grandchildren, who knew her as "Betty Boop," Faith (Chris) Pierce and Tyler Pappas; Katelyn, Aaron and Jeffrey Crawford; Emily (Tim) Smyke; Wesley (Wes) Kull; Riley Crawford and her first great grandchild, Bolan Pierce. As well as the love of her later years, Zoe, her 14-year old, 4-legged companion. Per her wishes, a private family Mass of Christian Burial to be held at the Chapel at St. Joseph Cemetery.
