Published by Legacy Remembers on Aug. 8, 2025.
Joan Dorothy Dunlap (nee Donnelly), age 86, passed away peacefully on August 6, 2025, surrounded by her family. Joan is survived by her devoted husband, Paul, her loving daughters, Dottie Slobodrian (Steve), Joan Heenan, and Suzanne Shenko (Joe) and her cherished grandchildren, Nicole (Jordan), Brionna, Erica, Jacquelyn, Anjolina, and Ryan. Joan also leaves behind four great-grandchildren who brought immense joy to her later years, Lucas, Harper, Ava, and William. Joan is further survived by her brother, James Donnelly, and was lovingly known as Aunt Joan to several nieces and nephews. Joan was predeceased by her parents, Francis Donnelly and Dorothy (Clair), and her brother Francis Donnelly. Born on December 23, 1938, in Philadelphia. She grew up in South Philly and graduated from Hallahan High School, laying the foundation for a life rooted in faith and family. Joan moved to the Northeast where she spent over five decades as a faithful member of St. Anselm's Parish. Her deep Catholic faith guided her throughout her life. Joan, also known as MomMom, will be remembered for her unwavering love of her family. She dedicated herself wholeheartedly to making sure those closest to her always felt supported and cared for. Her warmth and steady presence were a source of comfort to all she held dear. May her memory bring comfort to all who knew and loved her.

A viewing will be held on August 12, 2025, from 9:45 AM to 10:45 AM at St. Anselm Church, 12650 Dunks Ferry Road. A mass will follow from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
