I was so sorry to hear of Joan's death. I worked with her on the IRB and she was a great supporter of Women's Committee. She organized a wonderful party for me when I left the Board.

Just by accident I was looking for the passing of a squash buddy of mine and saw that our very dear lady Joan had died. We had so many fun times with you both at RMGC.

Dear Bob,
I was deeply saddened to learn of Joan's recent passing. You will recall we collaborated on several refugee claims during her tenure at the IRB and developed a close relationship. She was dynamic and engaged, always taking the time needed to fully understand the issues. She was very supportive and generous when my father passed away in 2000 and it was fun to spot her over the years along the Lakeshore. Please accept my heartfelt condolences.
