I was so sorry to hear of Joan's death. I worked with her on the IRB and she was a great supporter of Women's Committee. She organized a wonderful party for me when I left the Board.

Dear Bob,
I was deeply saddened to learn of Joan's recent passing. You will recall we collaborated on several refugee claims during her tenure at the IRB and developed a close relationship. She was dynamic and engaged, always taking the time needed to fully understand the issues. She was very supportive and generous when my father passed away in 2000 and it was fun to spot her over the years along the Lakeshore. Please accept my heartfelt condolences.

Our condolences to Bob on the loss of Joan, a very intelligent and fine person that we've both known for many years. Joan will be remembered for her devotion over many years of her life to serve the community. The long list of worthy causes that she devoted time and effort to and the awards and testimonials gathered over those years speak volume on the quality and quantity of her contributions. The foregoing was greatly appreciated by the organizations she was involved with and the communities were the appreciative beneficiaries.

Dear Bob, mere words cannot explain the loss I felt upon learning of Joan's passing. The many years of watching for any news of the Royal Family, the many struggles on the golf course, and so many other things that come to mind. She will be missed, not only by me, but so many of her close friends and family. Please accept our sincere condolences. May she rest in peace and may God Bless you all.
