The children of Joan E. Longo are saddened to announce her passing on 10/10/22, just two days shy of her 93rd birthday. She was a resident of Stuart, Florida. Joan was the only child of parents Marian & George Mulligan, born in Teaneck, NJ and raised in Bronx, NY.

Joan is survived by her children, Suzanne Dombrowski (Joseph), Elaine Gooding (Robert), Lisa Feldschuh (Mitchell), Allison Longo Carra and Paul Longo (Lee Anne); her grandchildren, John Dombrowski (Lisa), Ross Dombrowski (Carly), Robert Gooding, Matthew Gooding (Allie), Jeremy Feldschuh, Alexandra Carra and Ryan Carra; and her great-grandchildren Adalyn, Landon and Damon Gooding, Joseph and Jacob Dombrowski.

Joan was a graduate of Cathedral High School in Manhattan, NY. Upon graduating she obtained a job with the NY Telephone Company which is how she met the love of her life over the telephone. Joan and John Longo began their life together at the tender age of 20. Joan was a homemaker, whom, after raising her children, got a part time job at Hallmark Crown Shoppe, which she enjoyed.

Joan is a former St. Agnes Club President when she resided in Rockville Centre, NY. Upon moving to Stuart, FL, she became very involved with the Women's Club of Stuart, the Red Hat Society and kept the mahjong group going at Summerfield, where she lived.

Joan is predeceased by her parents, her in-laws, Blanche & John Longo, her beloved daughter, Gail, and her dear husband of 67 years, John A. Longo, Jr.

Services - Visitation at Aycock Young and Prill Funeral Home, 6801 SE Federal Hwy, Stuart, FL on Monday, October 17, 2022 from 9 - 10 AM. Funeral Mass will follow at St. Christopher's, Hobe Sound at 11AM. Burial will be at the convenience of the family at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Hawthorne, NY.
