Joan Paulhamus Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Jun. 24, 2025.
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Joan Marie Paulhamus, age 65, on June 23rd, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Joan was a cherished mother, grandmother, sister, and friend who brought joy and warmth to all who knew her.

She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Roy Swackhammer; her mother, Betty Fisher; her sister and brother-in-law, Marsha and Lewis Sodan; her sister, Bonnie Bradley; and her faithful companion, Sadie, her beloved dog.

Joan is survived by her two sons, Dale (Shari) Paulhamus and Josh (Danielle) Swackhammer. She leaves behind her brothers, Dick Coolbaugh, John Paulhamus, Chas (Charmayne) Fisher, and Ed (Tanya) Fisher, as well as her sisters, Virginia (Butch) Decker, Beverly (Joe) Miller, and Patti (John) Fisher. Joan was a proud grandmother to Dale Jr. (Kyrsten) Paulhamus, Danielle (Jordon) Vannamee, Emma Paulhamus, Jorden Deering, and Gaven Champion, and a delighted great-grandmother to Kyden Paulhamus and her soon-to-be-born great-granddaughter, Kynleigh Paulhamus.

Joan is also survived by her extended family and friends, who will forever hold her memory dear in their hearts.

Joan found joy in spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, sharing laughter and love. She enjoyed playful bickering with her husband, memorable outings to the casino with her sisters, and spending time in her beautiful garden. Above all, she cherished being surrounded by family, creating memories that will forever remain in the hearts of those who loved her.

A celebration of Joan's life will be held in her honor, where family and friends can come together to share stories, laughter, and love in remembrance. Details of the celebration will be announced separately.
