JOAN PIFER Obituary
Of McKees Rocks, on Monday, January 21, 2019. Beloved wife of Albert; loving mother of Albert (Kandie) and Sandy; grandmother of Melissa, Martin, Ashley, Christopher, Kari and Kayce; five great-grandchildren; sister of Kathryn Kurtz, Darleen Pestok, and the late Edward Wurm and Charlotte Stubenraugh; also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. A gathering of friends and family in remembrance of Joan will be held on Sunday, January 27, 2019, from 2-6 p.m. at the VFW Post 418 located at 1242 Chartiers Avenue, McKees Rocks. Arrangements entrusted to VALERIAN F. SZAL FUENRAL HOME, INC. 238 Helen Street, McKees Rocks.

For me Joan will always be my funniest and always happy " go to the casino" cousin. In our card playing days we always had a lot of laughs and shared many stories of our younger days on Creek Road. Her kindness overwhelmed me when Bill and I were married and awaiting us at home was a wedding album made by Joan! You have been a true fighter thru your many years of illness and now its time for you to rest. You soar with those angels Joan and enjoy your time with your loved ones in Heaven, I'm sure you. will have lots to tell them. You will be greatly be missed! To your family you've left behind may I offer my condolences to them.
