Joan Reidenbach Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Jan. 20, 2025.
Joan Elaine Reidenbach, 87, passed away peacefully on December 22, 2024, in Fairfield, Connecticut. She was the beloved wife of the late William "Rip" Reidenbach, who preceded her in death in 2002.

Born on May 16, 1937, in Bridgeport, Connecticut, Joan was the daughter of the late Howard and Viola Woods. A devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Joan's family was the center of her life. She is survived by her daughter, Ann Brideau and son-in-law, John; her granddaughters, Michelle Cassie and husband Nick, Susan Gratch and husband Michael; as well as her treasured great-grandchildren Charlie, Michael, Mae, Luke, and Olivia.

Joan found joy in life's simple pleasures and shared that joy generously with those around her. She loved going to the movies and spending time with loved ones over spirited games of badminton, Scrabble, and cards. A talented crocheter with a love for travel, one of Joan's most cherished memories was a cruise to Alaska with her late husband, Rip. These moments of connection brought laughter and warmth to all who joined her.

Joan will be remembered for her gentle spirit, kindness, and selflessness. Her unwavering love and devotion left an unforgettable mark on everyone she encountered. Her legacy lives on through the many lives she touched with her wit and warmth.

A celebration of Joan's life will be held at a later date. Details will be shared with family and friends in due course.

May Joan rest in peace knowing she brought immeasurable love and light to those fortunate enough to know her. Her memory will forever remain a source of comfort and inspiration to all who carry it forward.
