Joanne Ridley Obituary
Mrs. Ridley, of 113 Bruce Ave., Colonial Heights, Va., departed this life at Southside Regional Medical Center, Petersburg, Va.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Laura Hobbs; father, Joe Hobbs; and daughter, Laura Denise Taylor.
She leaves to cherish her memories son, Joseph Taylor (Shaunta) of Charlotte, N.C.; daughter, Cora Lynette Taylor of Colonial Heights, Va.; two sisters, Christine Green (Harvey) of Hopewell, Va., and Betty Hobbs of Petersburg, Va.; four grandchildren, Tynecia Taylor, Porcha Taylor, Anlycia Taylor, Donte' Ridley; five great-grandchildren, Jamari Taylor, Ashaela Taylor, Jayden Jones, Jay'Niyah Bell, Jeleah Bell; two nieces, Kenne Wallace (Charles), Kimko Friend; four nephews, Lonny Hobbs (Lola), Ronny Hobbs (Lola), Minister Lamont Hobbs (Chanel), Kenneth Morgan; four great-nieces; six great-nephews; devoted Pastor Barbara Robinson Blakes; care givers, Brittney Givings, Brenda Lane, Takeila Cooper; devoted friends, Latrice Rollins, Amy Harris, Velma Nicholas, Ron Nicholas; a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Chapel of Tucker's Funeral Home. Her nephew, the Rev. Lamont Hobbs, will deliver the eulogy. Interment will be in Dinwiddie Memorial Park.
Relatives and friends will assemble at 113 Bruce Ave., Colonial Heights, at 1 p.m. At the family request, there will not be a repass.
A memory video may be viewed at the funeral home. Services under the direction of Tucker's Funeral Home, 415 Halifax St., Petersburg.

Lynette and Family - I am very sorry to hear of your loss. I have very fond memories of times shared with Joanne. Although we haven't been in close touch I have thought about both of you many times as the years have passed.

To the Ridley family : Our hearts were sadden to hear of your lost , Joanne was the backbone of your family and a good friend, she will be missed.
