Joanne B. Wright, of Fishers, Indiana, passed away on Friday, February 14, 2014.
Joanne will be deeply missed by her husband, Byron Wright; children, Lisa and Dave Crist, Steve and Maria Tilmans, Rochelle Tilmans, Leanna and Jerry Goss, and Marvin and Nancy Wright; her grandchildren Maria, Ellie, and Harrison Crist, Luke, Monica, Ethan, and Antonetta Tilmans, Noah and Abbey Parson, Josi Kauffman, Lori Velazquez, and Courtney and Matthew Wright.
Joanne attended Saint Mary's College, Duquesne University, and the University of Evansville, and later worked as Director of Student Services at Ivy Tech Community College in Evansville. A lifelong patron of the arts and education, Joanne was an active member of the philanthropic educational organization, PEO, and a longtime supporter of the University of Southern Indiana. Joanne was also a highly accomplished bridge player, earning the status of Life Master, the highest level of achievement possible in-- competitive bridge. Her family remembers her as the loving matriarch who was an excellent chef, a world traveler, and an ardent fan of the Indianapolis Colts.
Visitation begins at 10 a.m. at the Holy Spirit Parish at Geist Catholic Church in Fishers, Indiana. The funeral service will begin at 11 a.m., also at the Holy Spirit Parish.
