Mabel Meiring Obituary
Mabel M. Meiring, 97, passed away peacefully on August 21, 2017 surrounded by her loving family. Mabel was born on June 26, 1920 in Davis, West Virginia to Richard C. and Delphia M. (Raines) Cross. She was married in 1936 to Norman J. Meiring, who predeceased her in 2001.
Mabel worked for Jeep in the payroll department, retiring in 1985 after 25 years of service. She was proud to serve on the board of the Jeep Federal Credit Union, and enjoyed playing cards.Mabel is survived by her son, Michael (Rose) Meiring, Sr.; grandsons, Michael J. (Stefanie) and Nicholas Meiring, and sister, Mary C. (John) Hopkins.She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Norman; her sisters, Zona Alspaugh, Genevieve Aldridge and Velma Weaver.Friends may visit at the Coyle Funeral Home, 1770 S. Reynolds Rd. on Thursday, August 24 from 2- 8 p.m. with a Rosary Service at 7. The funeral will begin in the mortuary on Friday, August 25 at 9:15, followed by Mass at Christ the King at 10:00 a.m. Burial will be at Toledo Memorial Park.Memorial donations may be given to the American Cancer Society.
