Jocelyn Kelly Crews Rombough

Seattle - Jocelyn Kelly Crews Rombough, age 63, passed away on September 9, 2023 from cardiac arrest, after a two-year battle with a rare form of cancer. Jocelyn was born at St. Mary's Hospital on May 28, 1960. Her sister Sandra was born one year later, also at St. Mary's. Both were the children of Robert ("Bob") and Emma Crews.

Jocelyn attended Jesse Beck (kindergarten), Roy Gomm (starting in first grade, the year it opened), Swope, and Reno High, graduating in 1978. She then moved to Seattle in 1981. She quickly fell in love with the city and lived there most of her of life, including at the time of her passing. Joce loved being so close to the ocean, the Puget Sound and the region's multiple lakes. Shortly after moving to Seattle, she started her family. She was the mother of four children. After they were grown, Joce decided to go back to college, having been inspired by her oldest and youngest children completing their undergraduate degrees. She graduated in 2014, with a BA in art from the University of Washington. She was working on her second degree, a BFA with a concentration in glass, at the time of her cancer diagnosis. Jocelyn was an accomplished and gifted artist who enjoyed the arts her entire life, including (but in no way limited to) decades of commitment to her dancing (ballet), and a love of ceramics and glassblowing, as both a student and teacher.

Jocelyn is survived by her 91-year-old heart-broken mother, Emma (Cote) Mason and stepfather James Mason of Hattiesburg, MS; her children, Chenee Holcomb, Shane Rombough, Christian Rombough (all living in the Seattle area) and Gabriella Hoffman in Eugene, OR; sister Sandy Arguello of Reno, NV; and many Crews and Cote relatives.
