(Jody) Billy Gray, Jr Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers from Oct. 10 to Oct. 27, 2023.
Jody Gray, 64, of Marietta, Oklahoma passed away on October 8th, 2023. Jody was born on April 16th, 1959, in Gainesville, Texas. He grew up in Cooke County, Texas and graduated from Gainesville high school.

Jody had two sons during his first marriage, Joshua Kyle Gray and John Adam Gray. Later, Jody was remarried to Cindy Lydon Higgins and shared her daughter, Micah Fox.

Jody was a proud father and grandfather. Josh provided Jody with two granddaughters, Kynleigh and Rubee. Adam provided Jody with three grandchildren, Erin, Cooper, and a granddaughter on the way.

He was as ornery as they come and always wore a smile on his face. Jody was a "God fearing," momma's boy, who worked hard every day of his life. Jody drove a big truck and preferred people call him by his cb handle, "Redneck." His daddy simply called him "Ben." Jody hauled everything from cattle, corn, hay, across the country and Mexico.

He enjoyed team roping with his boys when they were younger, a good blue heeler pup, a nice Hancock bred horse, and his Peterbilt trucks. More than anything, he loved his Jesus, and he loved his family.

Mr. Gray was preceded in death by his father, Billy Joe Gray, Sr; son Joshua Kyle Gray; and stepdaughter, Micah Fox.

Survivors include wife, Cindy Gray of Marietta, Oklahoma; mother and stepfather, Betty and Don King of Gainesville, Texas; stepmother, Nita Gray of Gainesville, Texas; son and wife, Adam and Nicole Gray and their children, Erin, Cooper, and baby girl of Elmore City, Oklahoma; granddaughters, Kynleigh and Rubee Gray of Marietta, Oklahoma.
