Jody Ratliff Obituary
Endowed with a brilliance that rivalled the highest heavens, Jody walked in virtue and excelled in kindness. Her wit-ever so quick and endearing-was a fount of joy to all who knew her. She carried within her the light of patience and understanding, embodying the spirit of the Proverbs woman in her daily living.
The beloved widow of Daniel Ratliff and cherished mother of Brooke Johnson, Jody's memory will be treasured through her flourishing lineage. Her loving son-in-law Rodney; her precious grandchildren, Jacob, Madison, and Sophia Johnson; and her brothers, "Sonny" and Douglas Clausen, survive her. She now rejoins her predeceased husband and parents in glorious repose.
Jody was an alumna of Woodrow Wilson High School in Long Beach and spent her professional years nurturing the family business, S & L Glass Co Inc., into a beacon of the community. Her penchant for Barbie Dolls was a testament to her appreciation of life's simplicities and her treasure-filled moments with her grandchildren, her living legacies.
The sanctified services in memory of Jody will take place under the compassionate care of Forest Lawn in Long Beach, California. Her passage from this veil of tears to the golden shores is a profound loss to all who were graced by her presence. May she rest in peace, and may her spirit continue to inspire those who carry forward her name.
