Joe Day Obituary
McIntyre, GA- Mr. Joseph "Joe" Day, Sr., 88, passed away August 10, 2017. Services will be held Saturday, August 12, 2017 in the Chapel of Williams Funeral Home of Gordon at 11 AM with the Rev. Roger Browher and Rev. Larry Glover officiating. The family will greet friends from 10AM until the service hour at the funeral home. Mr. Day was retired from Englehard. He was a member of the Irwinton Masonic Lodge and a member of Liberty Baptist Church.
Mr. Day is preceded in death by his parents, James Owen Day and Willie Jo Daniel Day, his wife, Evelyn Davis Day, a daughter, Jenny Lord and a brother Harold Day. He is survived by daughters; Gail (Phil) Lambert of Douglasville, Sheryl Martin of McIntyre, sons; Joseph B.(Candace) Day, Jr. of Brandon Mississippi, Jeffery D. (Dawn)Day of Irwinton, sister, Virginia Smallwood of Byron, brothers; James (Odessa) Day of Toomsboro, Wayne (Lovette Vaughn) Day of Clarkston. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.
