Joe Paul Lipsey, beloved husband and father passed away Sunday, January 29, 2023. A Denton, TX native, Joe was born to Francis Dean Lipsey and Betty Jean Lipsey on December 5, 1953.
Joe was diagnosed in 2018 with Lewy body dementia and though the disease progressed rapidly, robbing Joe of much that made him whole, he never lost his sense of humor. He had a great ability to make others smile and his sense of humor will be missed.
While Joe left us far too soon, he will always be remembered for his devotion to his family, his meticulous maintenance of his lawn, and love of travel.
He is survived by his wife Donna Lipsey of Denton, TX, daughter and son-in-law Sara and Jonathan Krybus of Dallas, TX, sisters Frances Lynn Tonn of Boise, ID and Deborah Sue Bond of Denton, TX and their families, along with numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father and mother.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 4, 2023 at 2:00 PM at the DeBerry Funeral Home in Denton, TX. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you please consider a donation in Joe’s name to the Dementia Society of America (www.dementiasociety.org) or the Alzheimer’s Association (www.alz.org).

A great friend and travel buddy. Joe spoke softly when telling stories about his life. While I can’t remember all of the details of his stories, I will never forget the times I got to sit and enjoy them! Rest easy brother
