I'm deeply saddened by my best friend Joe's passing. We were classmates at Clearfield High School and I met Joe in the chess club and I introduced him to golf. Later, we were roommates at Dixie College and played on the golf team there. We played a lot of golf together when we were younger and when I was living in Dallas about 20 years ago, I would drive each month to play golf with Joe. He was the greatest guy in the world, never got angry or upset, and always positive and laid-back. I am sorry that I did not get back to visit Joe in Austin. I wished him happy birthday in February and he said let's make sure to keep in touch. I am sorry for Joe's wonderful sons and family and their loss. I know he was a great father and family man and loved his children. I will miss Joe greatly as well and mourn his passing.

Although I have no pictures, I have so many memories of his giant smile taking in the music and good vibes at every concert or house party. He was always so kind and supportive. Just extremely glad I had the chance to know him. Sending my immense love to the family, especially his children and my dear sister-friend Allysa.

Uncle Joe's one of the kindest soul I've ever met. Always welcomed you with that bright smile and makes each person feel "they belong" in any party. Grazes the room with his observant eyes, until he spots anyone who may need a friend or a good chat with any topic under the sun. Such a devoted father, always seen supporting his kids' parties/concerts. Loved his Christmas socks filled with unique and practical stuff, that you'll end up using all by the end of the year. His wits, intelligence, kind heart wrapped in that warm big smile will always be missed.
