You are remembered, Uncle Joe. I always loved when you and Aunt Bernice would visit Grandmother Mills. We would be so excited to see your yellow Chevy SS coming up the sandy drive to her house. You both were so kind to me and my siblings. My heart goes out to Aunt Bernice.

I have very fond memories of Mr. Joe. I live in between their home and his shop. I could just about set my clock at noon everyday as he would walk across the yard going home for lunch. Mr. Joe always had a smile on his face. In the summertime he would go in his garden where he had beautiful tomatoes and if there were any ripe ones there he always left me some on my front porch. He will certainly be missed by many people, especially his wife of 59 years who stood beside him from day one of his illness. She gave up everything to take care of him because that is what made her the happiest. He enjoyed going to church and had asked Bernice to take him there while I was visiting them on Thursday. I thought a lot of Mr. Joe and will continue to have my fond memories. I know you are at peace now Mr. Joe. I know in my heart where you are and there will be no more pain or sorrow. I miss you terribly but I will see you one day.
