JoEllin Dahlin Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Jan. 30, 2025.
JoEllin Lorraine Waters Dahlin, 1954 - 2025, passed away peacefully at the age of 70 in Cottonwood, Arizona with her loving children by her side. She leaves behind three sons, Jack, James (Marco), and Joey (Tiffany), along with her treasured granddaughter Addison, and her two sisters, Janelle and Julianne. In addition, there are many grieving nieces, nephews & cousins who's lives were enriched by their relationship with her. Jo was preceded in death by her beloved daughter Jessica, who passed in 2013 due to MS which left a hole in her heart & soul. JoEllin adored her family with her whole heart and was endlessly proud and supportive of them.

JoEllin had the warmest heart and a way of making everyone feel like they belonged. She'd call you "sweetheart" or "honey" whether she'd known you for years or just met you in passing-it was her signature, and it came straight from her Soul. Her endearing and openhearted nature lit up every room she walked into. She was incredibly bright and curious about the world, with a love for exploring spirituality, learning about new cultures, traveling, dancing to good music, and savoring the simple, beautiful moments life had to offer. Her devotion to her animals, particularly dogs, was unmatched-they were her constant companions and brought her so much comfort and happiness.

JoEllin is now reunited with her parents, Joseph and Ruth Waters, her daughter Jessica, and nieces, Leyla and Marisa as well as her beloved Grandma & Grandpa, John L. & Esther Holladay. In addition there have been multiple dearly loved cousins, Aunts & Uncles who left behind a story of family & love.

JoEllin's legacy is one of love, generosity, and an unparalleled zest for life. She will be deeply missed. While her absence leaves a void, the example of love she set will forever live on in those who were fortunate enough to know her.

Our beautiful JoEllin, you were truly one of a kind. Rest peacefully, knowing you were adored beyond measure. Give our other angels hugs and kisses.

joEllin She is the most beautiful human I had met , she had a such a beautiful soul. I had a really good connection with her She was my mother-in-law. She always came over to my house to hang out with me. We always went out for a glass of wine. I´m so heartbroken to know, She passed away, but I always talk to her about when we pass, our lives continue in the other side and she always believe that. I´m sure now she´s with Jesse, Annie and Rose and I´m sure when it´s my turn, I will see her again. I will pray for her soul, and I´m sure she can hear me right now. I love her so much. It was a pleasure to meet her to be a part of her life for almost 8 years. Jo always call me, sweetie pie sweet face. She was really funny. I´m gonna miss her so much, but I know how to connect to her. See you when I see you, mom. I love you forever.

I can't possibly remember my first encounter with my sister. I was zero days old, however. The oldest sibling is Janelle, one year later came JoEllin and one year later I emerged on the planet. We remained close throughout our lives, making sure our children knew each other very well as cousins and adults. JoEllin was such a spark in our world. She loved to explore new ideas and adventures. Like me, her children were her North Star. She doted on them as much as was allowed. And losing dear Jessica changed her spirit forever.
I never thought about one of my sisters passing away. It also changes you forever.... Eternal love to Jo, my Sister.
