Dear Anna Marie, Ted & family. We are so sorry to hear of the loss of your mother. I went to school with Ted (same grade) and I don't know if you remember us, Ted, but you gave Rich, my husband, a plane ride for his 21st birthday. I remember the few times that I had the pleasure to meet your mom. I do remember her. I also remember the smiles and welcome you and Anna Marie ALWAYS had for family and friends no matter how many years it had been since you had seen them. I believe you got that from your mom along with her precious smile.
May your memories and love for your mom lessen your sorrow and bring you cherished moments of your blessings and time together.
In deepest sympathies to all,
Deanne & Rob Young

Dear John and children,
It is csomething wonderfull, a mother.
Others may love you, only your motherunderstands you.
She works for you, she loves you, she forgives you everything you did wrong.
And the only sadness she did to you is to die and to leave you.
Louise.

I would like to express my sincere sorrow for the loss of your mother. I went to school in grade one with Mark and I know he went on to be a very good friend of my brother Bill thoughout the rest of their school years. I knew (although most probably do not remember me) Anna Marie, John, Jim and Betty for years through our school years. In 1996, I had the pleasure of getting to know and work with Ted for the World Police & Fire Games. I knew Lilian for years, I think also since I was in Grade one at St. Gerard's school and Ted was a wonderful help and shoulder when I lost two relatives to cancer within 10 days of each other and three days before the games were to start. I also knew Barb through our school years. Ted's favourite thing was to stop by at our office (on Horton Road) on his way to "Mom's house for lunch" I know he loved her dearly and always spoke very highly of her. Please know that you are all in my prayers and God Bless you all.

To my dear friend Anna Marie and to all your family.... It is with sadness that I think of you having to say goodbye to your mom. I have always remembered her interesting stories of her early days in Holland that she shared with us as kids-along with those fantastic coconut squares...-she was always so good to me!
I send my love and prayers and hugs to you from myself, and all the Haraldson family

Dear Jo,
We've known each other for so many years. Now that you are not with us anymore, life is not the same. We will try to keep in contact with John and the family through our son-in-law Ted.
Rest in peace.
Till we meet again.
Dear John and family,
Our thoughts are with you during this difficult time.

We hope that remembering the wonderful, heartfelt woman that she was will help heal your heart.

Our deepest Sympathy to "The Heynen Family". We grew up across the street from the Heynen family - on Haddon Rd. We went to school with many of their children. Later in life we appreciated the quality of Heynen's construction. They took pride in everything that their family did. Many of us new Mark, when he worked in the Oil and Gas Industry. We often ran into "one of the Heynen's" somewhere in Calgary. Normally at their busy "Bottle return depot". They are all so friendly and always helpful and kind to everyone.
Betty and I were spoke women/cheer leaders "The Hat Tricks" our Calgary hockey team.
Betty has always taken wonderful care of others, this is why she is a wonderful nurse. Mrs. Heynen was always wonderful and kind to everyone. We will miss her a great deal.
Now that Mrs. Heyen is up in Heaven, Mark and our mother B.J. Bowles will take great care of her. Mrs. Heynen was always so thoughtful to my sisters, brother and dad after BJ passed away. They are a wonderful caring family.

Dear Betty & Roger: As I was looking for another dear friends obituary (an old original Haysboro resident), I noticed your names in another one. So sorry to hear of the loss of your loved one. I too lost my mother just over a year ago. I now find thinking of her brings me much joy. I hope that will happen for you very soon. You are in my thoughts and prayers.
Love,
Lilian Heynen

Oma, you have been a very important part of my life since I was 6 years old. I have so many beautiful memories, far to many to mention....but we know what they are. Thank you so much for each and every one of them. Thank you also for the most beautiful gift you could ever have given me, my husband Ted. I've been blessed to be a member of the Heynen family.
I miss you, the Sunday lunches, the chats. I miss it all. You were the backbone to our family.
I love you Oma.
Till we meet again.
