Johannes PROBST

PROBST, Johannes Johannes Probst, a longtime resident of Sandy Springs, passed away on October 28, 2017. Hans was born in Kaiserslautern, Germany to Johanna and Armin Probst on December 2, 1932. As a young man, Hans served in Indochina in the French Foreign Legion from 1951-1954 where he participated in numerous campaigns earning multiple citations. Hans and his wife Helene immigrated to the United States in the 1960's becoming naturalized citizens in 1982. His career in the food and beverage industry spanned 65 years, beginning as a teen in his father's weinstube and ending as a hospitality executive and consultant in Atlanta where he lived for over 50 years. He is survived by his daughter Danielle Probst and son-in-law Nathan Rich of Greenbelt, Maryland. He was preceded in death by his wife Helene and Danielle's mother Nellie.
