John Adamski, Jr. Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers from Jan. 3 to Jan. 4, 2022.
John J. Adamski, Jr. left this world and went to his final resting place on Wednesday, December 29, 2021. He is survived by the love of his life and best friend, Maryanne O'Malley. He was the son of Anne and the late John Adamski, Sr. and brother of Anne Mary Kluska (Stan), Regina Donnelly (Tom), and Michael Adamski (Lindsay) and will be dearly missed by his nieces and nephew, Kylee Kluska, Jaclyn Donnelly, Samantha Donnelly and Cooper Kluska. He will also be missed by aunts, uncles, cousins and life-long friends. A celebration of John's life will be held on Thursday January 6th at St. Anne's Church, 2328 E. Lehigh Avenue, Philadelphia, PA where his family and friends are invited to his viewing from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM, followed by his Funeral Mass at 10:30 AM. Interment will be held privately. John was born on October 11th, 1975 and lived most of his life in Port Richmond. He is a graduate of St. Anne's Catholic Grade School (class of 1989), Roman Catholic High School (class of 1993) and studied English at LaSalle University. John was a gifted, self-taught musician, who most enjoyed his time behind a drum kit. He was also skilled at playing the guitar and piano. He had a passion for all types of music and loved attending performances of the Philadelphia Orchestra. In his professional life, he thoroughly enjoyed his career in the restaurant industry and became a very accomplished "chef" in his own right. John will be remembered as a fun loving, compassionate soul, with a heart of gold. He will be sorely missed by everyone who ever met him, but especially by his family and high school sweetheart, Maryanne. In lieu of flowers, his family requests that contributions be made in his name to Roman Catholic High School 301 N. Broad Street, Philadelphia, PA, 19107 or Caron Foundation 243 N. Galen Hall Road, Wernersville, PA 19565. Arrangements by McCafferty Sweeney Slabinski Barnes Funerals and Cremations, John Barnes, Supervisor 215.333.0500. I will always have fond memories of working with John at Moonstruck. He was intelligent, hard working, willing to share, and could always make me laugh.
John enriched my life during the period that I had the benefit of knowing him.
Love you, John!

I would like to send the Adamski family my condolences on the loss of John. As a child I have so many fond memories of John when he would visit his cousins on Fanshawe st. He was so nice and friendly. He always had us laughing. Aunt Anne, Anne Mary, Jeanie and Micheal and the rest of your family, you are all in my thoughts and prayer. God bless John.

Love

I am deeply saddened by the sudden passing of this great friend and better man. I feel lucky having known Ski for 20+ years both professionally and personally. His absence leaves an emptiness in my heart that cannot be filled. Rest In Peace my friend. You will be missed.
