John Wayne Allee was born September 12, 1943 in Fort Worth, Tx. He was the son of John Mitchell Allee and Vivian Rae Baker Allee. He passed to his heavenly home on October 13, 2012 in Fresno, Ca. John was raised in Fort Worth, Tx. He attended Bluebonnet Elementary, McLean Junior High, and graduated from R.L. Paschal High School in 1961. His passion for music was cultivated through his participation in local theatrical productions, talent shows, and the Texas Boys Choir. He also loved football, serving as varsity Co-Captain his senior year. His team made it to the 1960 Texas State semifinal game and John was chosen for the High School All American North Squad. He began advanced studies at the University of Washington on a football scholarship ultimately graduating from Texas Christian University with a major in Radio, TV and Film in 1966. He started his music industry career as sound engineer at a local recording studio in Fort Worth, Tx. In 1968 he joined Capitol Records as a talent promoter in Tulsa, Ok, and later moved to Houston, Tx where he became Territorial Manager. He was married to Seree Irene Scott in 1968. They welcomed son John Cody in 1970 and daughter Heili Renee in 1973. In 1977 John moved to Nashville, Tn to pursue his life's dream of writing and performing music. To support his music passion, he worked as a purchasing manager for AVCO and Textron aerospace companies, working on projects like the B-1B bomber, C-5A&B, Space Shuttle, Gulfstream IV, BAeRJ, Airbus A330/340 and the V-22 Osprey programs. In 1995 he produced an album titled "For All The Children"by Papa John Allee, that was nominated for the Country Music Award's Outstanding Children's Album. In 1996~ he joined Revival Fires Ministries on a mission trip to Russia, bringing his music to orphanages and children's hospitals. John considered that trip to be a life-changing experience. In 1997 he moved to Fresno, CA to work as Director of Purchasing for his brother Mitch's company, Allegiant Airlines. In 2005 he started Allee Brand Bar-BQ restaurant. He retired in 2010. John was preceded in death by his parents; grandparents; and sister, Raenella. He is survived by his son, Lt. Col. John Cody Allee, USMC, and his wife Christina of Lexington Park, MD; daughter, Heili Renee Alice Eriksson and her husband Fredrik of San Carlos, Ca; grandchildren, Carson James and Caitlyn Piper Allee and Magnus Dylan and Madeleine Sloane Eriksson. Also surviving is his brother Mitchell H. Allee and his wife Dottie of Fresno, Ca; sister, Cheryl Allee Tucker and her husband Douglas J. Tucker, of Galveston, Tx; aunt Beverly Baker Bloodworth and her husband Jon, of Tahoe, Ca; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. Papa John, we love you and you will be missed! A Celebration of John's life will be held at Wedgewood Wedding & Banquet Center, 4584 West Jacquelyn Ave, Fresno, Ca, on Thursday, November 15, 2012, at 11:00 a.m., with the Reverend Douglas J. Tucker; his brother-in-law, officiating. To honor John's style and personality, the family requests that attendees dress casually (Hawaiian shirt optional). After the service a Luau luncheon will be served. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Blue Mountain Ranch, FBO Restoration of Beaver Lodge, PO Box 146, Florissant, Co 80816.
