John Anderberg Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Sep. 20, 2018.
It is with great sadness that we announce his passing on Thursday, September 20, 2018. He died peacefully in his sleep after a lengthy health battle.
The last year had been particularly difficult for him. Hospitalized in mid-January then to Cumberland Lodge in June, where his health seriously declined until he finally succumbed to it all.
Andy is survived by his wife of 50 years Kay, daughter Lori and granddaughter Caitlin. Special nephew Kim (Debra) and their children as well as his adopted Scotch family Alan, Christina and family.
He was born in Winnipeg in May of 1936. His family moved to Prince Rupert during World War II and then settled in Port Alberni.
After joining the Air Force in 1954, Andy had many postings including time in Germany. He finally got posted to Comox and he was home!
He was a very hard worker and was a logger for 20 years after his military service.
He enjoyed fishing, cooking, smoking salmon, and making burl clocks/tables and was an avid golfer. He was very proud of his 43 years in AA.
There will be a Celebration of Life on Sunday, October 7, 2018 at 1:00 pm at the Comox Legion (1825 Comox Ave). Please join us in remembering Andy by visiting our memorial at www.piercysmtwashingtonfuneral.com.
