John Thomas Anglin

Anglin, John Thomas 69, Fortified with the Sacraments of Holy Mother Church on Saturday, January 10, 2015. Beloved husband of Carmela Carmie Anglin (nee Castelli) for 38 years; dear Godfather of Bridget Cooper and Zachary Anglin; dear son of the late John J. Anglin and the late Teresa M. Anglin (Pettit); dear brother of Mike (Jeanne), Tom (Mary) and Bill (Joan) Anglin and the late Pat and the late Joe Anglin; dear brother-in-law, uncle, great-uncle, nephew, cousin and dear friend to many. John was born July 15, 1945, the first of 6 boys to John and Teresa Anglin. They raised their family in the St. Louis area where they attended school. John entered the U.S.M.C in 1965 where he served for 4 years and received several medals. Following his U.S. Military service he went to work for McCabe Powers. He met and married Carmela Carmie Castelli and they were wed in 1976. When McCabe closed their doors, he went to work for McDonnell Douglas where he retired after 20 years of service. John filled his life with continual service to others. He participated and served in many organizations including; Charles W. Foley Military Order of the Purple Heart Chapter 125, The American Legion Post 400, Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 795, Florissant Elks Lodge 2316. He was a member of Machinist Local 837. John enjoyed playing solitaire, doing origami and crocheting. He was passionate about helping others. Services: Visitation at SHEPARD Funeral Chapel, 9255 Natural Bridge at I-170, on Thursday, January 15th from 4-8 p.m. Funeral Service at 1:00 p.m. Friday, January 16th with burial at Calvary Cemetery.
