John Barbier Obituary
Born in Carmel, California, John received his Associate in Arts degree from Hartnell College in June, 1968. He also attended San Francisco State University.
John worked at H&H Home Center in Seaside, California as department manager and accountant until 1992 when the store closed.
John enjoyed collecting antique prints and Coca Cola advertising as a hobby. After H&H closed, John turned his hobby into a home business. He opened an eBay store, and was successful in selling his collectible prints for 14 years.
John was known for his wonderful dry humor, and would often answer questions with a hilarious one liner. Even though his disease robbed him of conversation, he stayed positive, and could still make those around him laugh.
John is survived by his wife, Glynne Barbier, and daughter Janelle Barbier, of Emeryville, California; son Jon-Paul Barbier (Sanyy) of Monterey; sister Kathleen Eckerson of Pebble Beach, California; and four grandchildren.
