John Edward Bazyk Sr. MEADOWVIEW, Va. John Edward Bazyk Sr., 76, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, September 28, 2013, at his home. He was born to the late John Stanley Bazyk and Anna Angeline Epsick Bazyk on August 19, 1937, in Acosta, Pa. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, and was retired from the Fairfax County Police Department and the Fairfax County Emergency Operations Center. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant brother, Edward Bazyk; and a sister, Rose Marie Bazyk Harkcom. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Carol Marva Reeves Bazyk; two sons, John Edward Bazyk Jr. of South Riding, Va., and Keith Allen Bazyk and wife, Crystal of Meadowview, Va.; and three grandchildren, Collin Bazyk, Lauren Bazyk, and Devin Bazyk. Visitation will be from 6 until 8 p.m. Monday, September 30, 2013, at the Main Street Chapel of Farris Funeral Service. A funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Tuesday, October 1, 2013, at the funeral home with Pastor Robby Coggins officiating. Interment will follow at Knollkreg Memorial Park where honors will be presented by the Fairfax County Police Ceremonial Honor Guard.
