July 18, 2015 – Calgary, Alberta
John Benetti, beloved best friend and husband of Joan Benetti of Calgary, passed away on Saturday, July 18, 2015 at the age of 60 years. Besides the love of his life for thirty- two years, John is survived by their son James. He was predeceased by his parents, Ettore Benetti (1983) and Teresa Benetti (2015). John was a creative man, with a quiet strength that led him to the top of the Engineering profession, (the Wizard of Water). He enjoyed painting and gardening, but his passion was for music. He played guitar very well, as long as he didn't try singing. He had a wry wit and had the ability to make people smile. A Celebration of John's Life will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY (Crowfoot, 82 Crowfoot Circle N.W.), on Monday, July 27, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. Condolences may be forwarded through www.mcinnisandholloway.com. If friends so desire, memorial tributes may be made directly to the Canadian Diabetes Association, www.diabetes.ca or directly to the Kidney Foundation of Canada, www.kidney.ca. In living memory of John Benetti, a tree will be planted at Fish Creek Provincial Park.

Dear Joan,
I remember you speaking of your John at the FAPA meetings and all of his struggles with his health and how he was so loved. Our deepest sympathy to you and your son. May it be of some comfort to know that he is no longer struggling, and find strength in each other, your love, and your memories.
