Dear Gary, Jean and Dave –
After reading of John’s passing in the paper, you’ve all been on my mind and I felt compelled to let you know that you have my deepest sympathy in the loss of your brother. Tho it’s been many years, I can still remember John’s wonderful sense of humor and am sure his presence will surely be missed. Please also extend my sympathy to your Mom, I was so glad to hear that you still have her in your lives – she was one of the sweetest people I’ve ever known. We’ve all lost one of our beloved parents (I did not hear about your Dad until years later), but to lose a sibling is not something anyone expects or is prepared for -- and I will certainly give my brother a tighter hug the next time I see him. Please also express my sympathy to all the “kids” – Stacey, Tara, Gabe, Shannon, Dave (and Gary’s kids whose names I don’t know) - I’m sure they’re not kids anymore and can’t even imagine how grown up they must be. Despite this terribly unhappy time, I hope this finds all of you well – thankfully you have each other to lean on. Again, I am so sorry for your loss – and God Bless.
