BERTRAND, John (Veteran WW II) Peacefully and quite unexpectedly in hospital at Arnprior on Monday afternoon, May 22nd, 2006. John Peter Bertrand of Arnprior at the age of 82 years. Dear son of the late Theophile Bertrand and of the late Elizabeth Clouthier. Beloved husband of the late Dorothy Mae Brown. Dearly loved father of Richard of Arnprior, Rosemary Smith (Terry) of R.R. #2, Arnprior and Sherry Smith (John Arbic) of Arnprior. Very dear friend of Dorothy Baird of Arnprior. Dear brother of Edward (Jackie) of Arnprior and Paul (Violet) of Braeside. Predeceased by brothers: Leo, Joe, Jules and Marcel as well as sisters: Lucie Schnob, Adrienne Gibeau and Jacqueline McAndrews. Loved grandfather of Trevor Smith of Arnprior and Korry Nickle (Jack) of Squamish, B.C. and great-grandfather of Samantha Smith-Beaudoin and Kai Nickle. Friends may join us for visitation at the Pilon Family Funeral Home & Chapel 50 John Street North, Arnprior on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and after 12:30 p.m. Thursday. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. John Chrysostom Church, Arnprior on Thursday, May 25th at 2 o'clock. Interment will follow at the Malloch Road Cemetery, Arnprior. In remembrance, donations to the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 174, Arnprior would be appreciated by John's family. Members of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 174, Arnprior will assemble at the funeral home for a tribute service on Wednesday evening at 6:30 p.m. Condolences/Tributes/Donations www.pilonfamily.ca
