John BIRD Obituary
440329 Tpr 18th Battalion Armoured Regiment. Peacefully on January 19, 2017, at Ranfurly Rest Home, Feilding, in his 95th year. Dearly loved husband of the late Shirley and loved father and father-in-law of Roger and Karen (Kimbolton), Chris and Sharon (Linkwater), Graham (deceased), Carolyn and Fred (Mapua), Jill and Trevor (Perth), Lindsay and Wendy (Dunedin). Much loved Poppa JB of Peter, Shane, Nigel and Brian, Gavin, Alistair and Stewart, Hayley, Megan and Scott, Gabrielle, Franchesca, Jarrad and Annelise, Sonia, Melissa and Helen and 19 great-grandchildren. A service to celebrate John's life will be held at the Feilding Funeral Chapel, 282 Kimbolton Road, Feilding, on Wednesday, January 25, 2017, commencing at 2.00pm, followed by private Cremation. Messages to the Bird Family, c/- 280 Kimbolton Road, Feilding. Special thanks to the staff at Ranfurly Rest Home for looking after John so well.
