John BUCHANAN

BUCHANAN, John W. (Jack) Lt. Commander R.C.N. (Retired) Passed away October 23, 2002, at the age of 80. Son of the late Wilhelmina and Robert Buchanan. He is survived by his wife Marion (Arscott), his sons Ian (Jeannie) and Sandy (Susan) and daughter Cathie. Much loved grandfather of Sarah Buchanan Hahn (Andy), Becky Buchanan, Jesse and Tyler Buchanan. Predeceased by his younger brother Lloyd. He leaves behind a sister Sheila (Don) Morrow of Thornhill and sister-in-law Betty Arscott of London, ON. He will be greatly missed by his many nieces and nephews. Jack was Founder and Past President of J.W. Buchanan Lighting Ltd.; a long-time member of the Rotary Club of West Ottawa; the Jaguar Club; and was an Elder at St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church for many years. Friends may call at the Garden Chapel of the Tubman Funeral Homes, 3440 Richmond Road, Nepean, between Bayshore and Baseline Road on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church, Kent St. at Wellington on Saturday at 11 a.m. Those who wish may make a donation in Jack's memory to the charity of their choice.
