John Gerard Carter, 53, of 309 Vivians Court (Orchard View Subdivision), died Wednesday, January 7, 2009. Born March 22, 1955, in Dover, NJ, he was a son of the late James V. and Victoria Carter. He was a former automobile service advisor at Carlton Mercedes Benz and Jackie Mauldin�s Body Shop in Greenville, and was a member of St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church in Simpsonville. Survivors include his wife, Linda Ussia Carter; a son, Jonathan Carter; two daughters, Tori and Jaime Carter; a brother, James Carter and his wife Christine of Asheville, NC. Visitation will be 7:00-8:30 p.m. Monday, January 12, 2009, at Floyd�s North Church Street Chapel, Spartanburg. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, January 13, 2009, at St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church, 2252 Woodruff Road, Simpsonville, SC, conducted by the Rev. Robert Falabella. A private burial will be in Westwood Memorial Gardens, Reidville, SC. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Greenville Hospital System Credit Union in the name of the Carter family, 701 Grove Road, Greenville, SC 29605. Dear Carter Family, I was so saddened to hear of John's death. I wanted to extend my deepest sympathy to you, Linda, and to Jonathan, Tori, and Jaime.
