Our beloved, John Ciccarelli, died on Friday, September 22, 2017. He was 30 years old. Because we loved John and John loved us, we are sharing his story for his friends. John was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, the son of Kelly Doyle. Three years later he received his wish for a baby brother whom he named Mikey. John attended St. Barnabas Catholic Parochial School in Southwest Philadelphia. He graduated from Radnor High School in 2006. John was an avid sports fan, playing hockey in high school, and a relentless Dallas Cowboys fan, much to the chagrin of Eagles fans throughout the city. He was a frequent guest caller to sports radio shows, where he enjoyed debating the upcoming game. John will always be remembered for his dedication to and love of his dogs, Minka and Matty. Unfortunately, John suffered from an addiction to drugs. John fought his addiction for years. We, his family, truly loved John, treasured who he was and the promise that existed in him, and yet he still died from an overdose. All John wanted was a normal life, free from the chains of addiction. Even though his story came to a sad end much too soon, if another life can be saved then his giving spirit will carry on. If you have a loved one struggling with addiction, take advantage of resources that can help. Please don't be afraid of risking a friendship by keeping silent – you may end up losing a friend. John was preceded in death by his uncle, John W. Doyle and his grandparents, Edward and Miffy Ciccarelli. He is survived by his mother, Kelly Doyle, his siblings Mikey, Ayla, and Jace, his nephew Kaden, his nieces Kendall and Aubree, his grandparents Christopher and Kathleen Doyle, his aunts and uncles Johanna Clark (Michael), Christopher Doyle (Rodney Welch), Kathleen Mills (Thomas), his cousins Shannon, Kelly, Michael, T.J., Izzy and Danny, his adored dogs Matty and Minka, as well as many extended family and friends. Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing on Friday, September 29, 2017 from 7:00-9:00 PA at The Donohue Funeral Home, 366 West Lancaster Avenue, Wayne, PA 19087 and on Saturday, September 30, 2017 from 9:30 to 10:20 AM at St. Katharine of Siena Church, 104 S. Aberdeen Avenue, Wayne, PA 19087 followed by his Funeral Mass at 10:30 AM. Interment will be in SS Peter & Paul Cemetery in Springfield, PA. His family asks that contributions be made in his memory to Wags Rescue in Southampton, PA: www.wagsrescue.com.

To Kelly and the entire Doyle family, Laura and I are truly sorry for your loss, I have known you and your family for over 30years and consider you guys part of my extended family. "Puddy" as my nieces would call him was at every birthday and holiday event my brother would have, and I remember always talking to him about sports and giving him a hard time about his love for the cowboys, at least he was a big Flyer, Sixer and Phillies fan, so we can give him a break about the cowboy thing. It is such a shame that he is gone at such a young age. Our thoughts are with you Kel.

John, words can't explain how I feel right now. I Remember as kids at grams house playing knee hockey, or street hockey, or throwing the football around. I can't stop thinking about teaching you the in's and outs of hockey. Cant stop thinking about how we use to talk sports. It was so good seeing you at grams funeral, it was good to see you smile. I know I haven't been around for a long time the army has taking me allover the place. Say hi to Gram and Pop for me kiss them, tell them I Love and Miss them. Tell your Uncle John hello and that when I went in to battle in Iraq he was their with me, he wore the uniform proud. I will see you on the other side cuz I Love you.

I am deeply saddened by the news of the loss of your son. I offer my deepest condolences to the whole family and pray to the Lord to give you strength.

You were my very first boyfriend and my very first kiss. We were just innocent little kids that had a huge crush on eachother. I remember like it was yesterday. Sitting in beach chairs in the breeze way staring up at the stars and holding hands. Swing on

You were my very first boyfriend and my very first kiss. We were just innocent little kids that had a huge crush on eachother. I remember like it was yesterday. Sitting in beach chairs in the breeze way staring up at the stars and holding hands. Swing on the swing set that was at your Aunt and Uncles house. As the year went by, we both went our separate ways and grew apart. Many years later, we both reconnected and became a couple again and never in a million years did i think that would happen. I was so happy that i got to be with my first love. I loved you and cared about you. I wanted to help you in every single way i could, and i didnt want to give up because i believed in you, even when you didn't believe in your self. You will always and forever have a special place in my heart until the day i die. Minka And Matty will sure miss their dad. They loved you unconditionally. You are no longer suffering this demon addiction, and you can now rest peacefully and be with your Uncle. Watch over your family, your mom and brother especially., sister, niece and nephew. You will foreverbe loved and remembered. I will always keep the good memories we had in my heart forever. Rest Peacefully. ❤
