John you were an incredibly generous and kind man who would do anthing in your power to help people. I met you in early 1980 through my work at AGC and your business at Emeco. You were so kind to me and my wife in our early days of marriage when knowing we didnt have two pennies to rub together gave us the use of Courtship at Rottnest for 10 days! It was an incredible kind gesture and then to top it off you invited us to the farm at Wundowie for the weekend!! One in a million John Court.

Although we only knew John for a short time in his life, he become such a large part of our lives.
John was the most kindest, most genuine and generous man we have ever meet. He took our girls in as if they were his own grand children and always made us so welcome.
We will miss you so much John, but glad your now in a more peaceful place, enjoying a wine with your son.
Love and miss you always

Through my teenage friendship with Andrew and Suzanne, I was in awe of John. No matter who else was in the room, all eyes were on John, waiting for his cheeky wink or an irreverant, generous aside. I knew he was a big man doing big things, but he never once made me feel smaller or lesser than him. I did notice that, but I probably didnt realise the significance of the insight until I reached middle age.
The first reference I ever had for job interviews was from John. I treasured it. Like Andrew, I became a professional musician. In my experience over many years, John's support for Andrew's music never wavered. I could see John's pure love for Andrew and as I recall it now I yearn to tell John I eventually figured out the beautiful complexity of that bond and love. Andrew inherited a trait from John: He's FUNNY and so was John, as the NIC would attest. Laughter = medicine, which often helped John resolve obstacles.
One time I was playing in an acoustic band at a lttle food festival event in Vasse. We finished a set, then John materialized from nowhere and introduced us to Gough Whitlam and Jim Killen! We were tongue-tied, but John instantly put us at ease.
Deepest condolences to Andrew, Suzanne, Maureen, Helen and families. A bright light has dimmed, but John Court will never be forgotten. If an afterlife exists, he'll be in the fray making havoc in only the best ways.
