Cutler, John L. John Lawrence Cutler, 81, of Delray Beach, FL and Milwaukee, WI, entered Eternal Life on Sunday, April 10, 2016. Jack, as he was known by family and friends, was predeceased by his beloved wife of 52 years Dolores "Dee" Cutler and his son John L. Cutler, Jr. He is survived by his four devoted daughters, Cathleen Cutler, Suzanne (Kevin) Hines, Caryn (Robert) Ahern and Maureen Haslam. Jack was the proud grandfather to seven loving grandchildren: Catherine, Kevin Jr., Erin and Megan Hines and Lauren, Grace and Mary Ahern. Jack is further survived by his sisters Kay Cutler and Claire Singer and many nieces and nephews. Jack was born on October 12, 1934 to Melvin and Adele Cutler in Flushing, NY. The 7th of eight children, Jack grew up in Chicago where he graduated from Fenwick High School and Loyola University. After graduation, he served his country honorably as a First Lieutenant in the United States Marine Corps, stationed at Beaufort, South Carolina. After his service, and being a natural entrepreneur, Jack established and led two successful businesses: Underwriters Service Corp., an insurance-related financial management company and, later, Seasonal Designs, a manufacturer of US flags and outdoor home items. He and his wife Dee raised their family in Mequon, WI where they enjoyed many happy and treasured memories. Jack was an avid sportsman who excelled at golf, racquetball and tennis. He was also a loyal fan to Wisconsin sports including his beloved Green Bay Packers, Milwaukee Brewers and Milwaukee Bucks as well as Marquette basketball and University of Wisconsin football. Jack enjoyed travel, playing cards, going out to dinner with family and friends and sharing a good laugh whenever possible. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. Visitation will take place on Friday, April 15, from 10:00 to 11:00 AM at Lumen Christi Catholic Church, Mequon, 2700 W. Mequon Road at the corner of Range Line Road, followed by the celebration of the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM. Interment at All Saints Catholic Cemetery in Des Plaines, IL will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations may be made to the Milwaukee Rescue Mission, 830 North 19th Street, Milwaukee, WI 53233.

Dear Bob and Caryn,

Jack was a fantastic man, I was very lucky to meet him. I enjoyed the many times we spoke, worked and laughted together. He was a great, delightful, honest and caring man. What a sense of humor he had. Jack had a gift of making everyone around him feel welcome. He will be deeply missed by all for sure.
I was so fortunate to have known Jack, I have wonderful stories and fond memories that I will cherish forever.
Bob, I will bet that Jack would want me to send back the American Express Gold Card but im going to keep it for a little longer just so he can laugh in heaven!

My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

God Bless,

Todd Sudakoff

Cathleen,

Sincerest condolences on your loss. Our parents know us best in this world so their passing is especially painful. Yuko, Yurika and I still recall our fun Thanksgiving dinner together in Paris many years ago. It was great to share that day with you. We are thinking of you and your family at this difficult time. Take care, friend. Love, Bill, Yuko and Yurika
